Needless to say, I fell for this hunks during "Yentl". For years I thought he was a little jewel Barbra Streisand had dug up somewhere. I had no idea that he was a huge success on Broadway. Then I learned that he could sing!!! I assistant directed the musical "The Secret Garden" in Ann Arbor, Michigan. So, I borrowed the CD and had a life altering experience. Mandy's singing had me at my knees - in tears ... it was so beautiful, touching, light and lilting at times and then wretching and painfilled at others. If, by chance, you have not heard either him or "The Secret Garden" - I recomend you go out right now and get them. True music-lovers will never regret it.
